Guest Experience Ambassadors Are you a people person? Join our guest experience team to ensure attendees feel welcomed and informed throughout the festival. You’ll assist with ticketing, registration, and VIP management, while also helping guests with information and directions. Your positive energy will help make AfroVibes a festival to remember! Marketing & Social Media Team If you love social media and capturing special moments, this is the perfect role for you! Help us document the festival through photos and videos, provide live updates on platforms like Instagram and Twitter, and engage with our audience online. You’ll also collect feedback from attendees to help us improve future events. Vendor & Marketplace Support Keep the AfroVibes marketplace buzzing with energy! In this role, you’ll assist vendors with setting up their stalls, ensure everything stays organized, and help with any troubleshooting during the event. You’ll also manage the flow of visitors to ensure a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for everyone. Technical & Production Crew Are you interested in the technical side of things? Join the production crew to help with stage setups, sound checks, and lighting. You’ll work closely with performers and production staff to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. If you love solving problems and working with equipment, this is the role for you.

As a volunteer for this event, you are responsible for upholding the values and vision of AfroVibes. You are also required to abide by the rules and regulations put in place to ensure the safety and success of the event. By agreeing to volunteer, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Volunteer Work The Volunteer shall provide the event with services as described in the Volunteer position applied for. The Volunteer agrees to perform the work to the best of their abilities, in accordance with any training provided, and as directed by the Volunteer Coordinator or their designee. 2. Volunteer Requirements The Volunteer must be at least 18 years old, or provide written consent from a legal guardian if under 18 years old. The Volunteer must provide accurate and complete information in the application process and be able to perform the duties of the position. 3. Schedule The Volunteer agrees to work the hours and shifts as assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers must arrive on time for scheduled shifts and inform the Volunteer Coordinator in advance of any changes in availability or inability to attend scheduled shifts. 4. Conduct The Volunteer agrees to represent the event in a professional and respectful manner while volunteering. The Volunteer shall refrain from engaging in any behaviour that is detrimental to the Festival, other volunteers, staff, performers or patrons, or that is in violation of any laws or regulations. 5. Confidentiality The Volunteer acknowledges that the Event may provide them with confidential information or access to confidential areas or documents. The Volunteer agrees to maintain the confidentiality of such information and not disclose it to any third party without prior written consent of the Festival. 6. Liability The Volunteer acknowledges that they are volunteering their services at their own risk and assumes all risks associated with volunteering. The Volunteer waives any claims against the Festival for any injury, damage or loss of personal property that may occur while volunteering. 7. Indemnification The Volunteer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Event, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, expenses, or liabilities arising out of their volunteer activities, including but not limited to claims for personal injury, property damage, or copyright or trademark infringement. 8. Release of Photographs The Volunteer agrees to allow the Event to use any photographs taken of the Volunteer during their volunteer activities for promotional and marketing purposes. 9. Governing Law This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. 10. Entire Agreement This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the Volunteer and the Event and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous understandings and agreements, whether oral or written.
